Arexo starts every year with a two-day event that aims at reviewing the progress made during the last 12 months, discussing and organising the coming years from the perspective of the company and sharing a great time with all our colleagues.
This year’s kick-off took place on 18th and 19th February 2020 in our Liège offices in Saint-Georges-sur-Meuse.
The first activities were dedicated to collectively pausing and reflecting on the events of the last months. Afterwards, everyone drew a roadmap of their life at Arexo since they joined the company.
Retrospectives are fine but moving forward is even better. We therefore defined objectives for the years to come.
After these more formal moments, the team shared a meal that consisted of dishes prepared by the others. If IT turns out to be an unprofitable sector at some point, we can definitely try entering the catering business.
Day two was allotted to the “Arexo Circles”, groups that drive the different internal activities of the company. Everyone at Arexo is a member of a circle they chose for at least six months, that can be extended freely. Interrupted only by a pizza lunch, the circles focused on re-establishing their mission statement and derive short-terms goals aligned with the general objectives of Arexo.
A final team building activity that took the shape of an escape room challenge was also planned at the end of the afternoon. We reached Liège and divided in 4 teams that were tasked to find their way out of a room full of riddles, enigmas and padlocks. Great fun and collaboration ensued.
The bravest (or is it hungriest?) of all concluded the kick-off with a chatty dinner and finally reached home to enjoy a well-deserved rest.
And so 2020 kicked off!
