A Jira administrator is a person responsible for the management and maintenance of an organisation’s Jira instance. Typical tasks of a Jira administrator include installing, configuring and updating the application, managing users and groups, creating and managing projects, customising workflows and fields, configuring notifications and permissions, managing backups and restores, and monitoring performance and troubleshooting problems. The Jira administrator is also often responsible for end-user training and support, as well as liaising with the development and support teams to ensure efficient and seamless use of the tool.
