Enterprise Service Management (ESM) is an extension of ITSM that aims to apply service management practices and processes not only to IT, but also to the entire enterprise. The objective of ESM is to provide a holistic view of the services provided by the enterprise and to manage them in a consistent, efficient and results-oriented manner, aligning services with business objectives and improving collaboration between different teams and departments.
